What's happening to Adelaide's trees? Appeal

We are losing ancient and majestic trees everywhere in Adelaide – every day and in every suburb. These gentle giants form the backdrop to our lives. They mark our crossroads, home our wildlife, shade our children, and cool our air in a changing climate.

Hopefully by now, you would have seen the great story in Saturday’s Advertiser about the launch of our powerful new report: What’s Happening to Adelaide’s Trees? It's already made major waves in the media, councils and government, and our community is responding passionately to its findings.

We've done so much already – but there's still work to do.

Our next move: working with experts in local councils, State Government, universities, and the community to plan the best way to reverse the trend.

We will soon know: Is it planning law reform? Is it arborist accreditation? Is it council decision-making? Is it changing the public narrative?

Together we'll find a way forward, then develop a powerful campaign to make it happen.

But we can only do it with your help.

Can you please give a gift as we come towards the end of the financial year to help make sure our campaign to stand up for our ancient trees has the best chance of success?
