About us

For more than 50 years, the Conservation Council of South Australia (Conservation SA) has been committed to protecting, restoring and conserving South Australia's natural environment and advocating for a more sustainable future for our state.

Conservation SA was established in 1971 to provide a shared voice for community environmental organisations from across South Australia.

As the state's peak environment organisation, we represent 90,000+ people in more than 60 environment-related groups across SA.

Conservation SA has always been an independent, non-profit, non-government and non-party political organisation.

We champion our environment and the people who care about it by increasing community awareness of environmental challenges and engagement in emerging solutions.

We believe our future depends on all South Australians. We talk with the public, government, industry, unions, other organisations and the media about what we can all do to help. We also do important on-the-ground real-world work across the state to help ensure the health of our land, water and air and native species for future generations.

Our environment needs us more than ever before. Conservation SA depends on support from donations, membership fees and volunteers. Please support our important work today.

Together with thousands of people just like you we can succeed. Want to be part of it? Join us!

Our offices are open Tuesday - Friday, 9am - 4pm
